Stephen E. Morgan Joins Princeton Power Systems’ Board Of Directors
 

February 26, 2010- Princeton Power Systems is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Morgan to its Board of Directors. Mr. Morgan brings over 33 years of experience and contacts in the electrical generation, transmission, and distribution industries as well as extensive knowledge of the utilities business.

Mr. Morgan served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board of Jersey Central Power and Light Company (JCP&L) until his retirement on September 1, 2009. JCP&L is the second largest electric utility in the state of New Jersey and a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corporation. Mr. Morgan is residing CEO of American Clean Energy, LLC.

Dr. Ed Zschau, Chairman of the Board stated, “As Princeton Power Systems plays an increasingly significant role in designing and deploying advanced alternative electrical energy generating systems, Steve Morgan will provide the Company and our customers with the insight, guidance, and understanding of energy markets to enable Princeton Power to deliver the best value to our customers and users of those systems.”

While at JCP&L, Mr. Morgan oversaw proposals for $98M in infrastructure and energy efficiency enhancements in 2009, including $34M for demand response programs. Mr. Morgan brings a wealth of experience and understanding of complex issues facing utilities when planning for the integration of alternative energy sources, distributed generation, and grid support technologies. Mr. Morgan will greatly assist Princeton Power System’s strategy to become a leader in advanced solar and renewable energy system installations, demand response and energy storage systems, and delivering smart power electronics to the new smart grid.

About Stephan E. Morgan:

Stephen E. Morgan graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the Ohio State University and completed the University of Michigan, School of Business Executive Management Program. As a registered Professional Engineer, Mr. Morgan assisted and co-directed the merger of Ohio Edison and Centerior Energy, which formed FirstEnergy Corporation. Ultimately, FirstEnergy Corporation once again merged with GPU Corp and produced Jersey Central Power and Light Company (JCP&L), where Stephen Morgan eventually became President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board. Currently, Stephen is the CEO of American Clean Energy, a member of various organizations and boards in New Jersey, such as the Economic Development and Authority Board, Rutgers University Institute of Marine and Coastal Science Board of Trustees, New Jersey Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees, and recently and newly elected board member of Princeton Power Systems Inc.
